NIGERIA LABOUR CONGRESS IN LITMUS TEST

I have been following the trending events in and around the delegates’ conference of the Nigeria Labour Congress these past three weeks with deep-rooted concerns. Concerns for mistakes that are possible. Concerns for possible trivialization of hidden dangers. Concerns for the unknown. Concerns for what seems to be well known and yet appears to be deceitful. I was turning over all these concerns in my mind while at the same time praying that the Almighty God may not lead to temptation men and women of the Nigeria Labour Congress gathered at Abuja, so that they will accentuate only the positive factors that would help them build consensus during deliberations and discussions. It was our plea that people should remember that after all said and done that we as Brothers or Comrades, as the case may be, that we are one and should always act as our brother’s keeper; and that the elective positions that are vied for are merely for our common good.
