A Human Resources,
Public Relations and Industrial Relations Management Practitioner with more than
four decades of cognate experience; and especially vast in the field of the Organization
and Management of Human Resources and Collective Bargaining; Accomplished in
all areas relating to Human Behavioral Science; Internal Dynamics within the
Working Class Movement, Labour Market Trends; Chairman / CEO of Precision Research and Publication Company
Limited; and Principal Consultant of Precision HRM & PRCM Consultancy
Limited. A staunch Christian of Roman
Catholic denomination, with his way of life centered on the principles,
teaching and practice in accordance with the Roman Catholic Catechism.
Chief (Dr.) Alphonsus I. A. Okwese is the son of a Nigerian Farmer
/ Fisherman from Obetim (Kwale) in Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta
State of Nigeria. His father died when he was in Elementary Standard Six, and
there was nobody around to sponsor him through the College. Then of course, rejecting failure as an
option, he went ahead to take the challenges of life by the jugular by taking
up daily contract labour jobs in the day, the payment from which he paid to see
him through the Commercial Institute in Zaria, in Kaduna State of Nigeria.

This I Believe...
* That man is the central theme of the story of the universe; and that God made him (man) inferior only to Himself, crowned him with glory and honour and made him ruler over all things in the world’ – Psalm 8; (“Man is the measure of all things in the world” – Plato).
* For this reason every socio-economic arrangement or political system must be geared to respect his dignity, his fundamental human rights, and, above all, his divine right to relate freely with his creator. Also that the system of governance of any society must guarantee equal opportunity for all its citizenry, making earthly life for them more abundant.
* As the foregoing fundamental conditions characterize the political system known and called “DEMOCRACY”, it goes without saying that as a passionate adherent to the principles of this socio political philosophy, I am a DEMOCRAT. And it is my conviction that democracy thrives and excels only under conditions of minimal government involvement in the day to day management of national economy, unlimited impetus to private initiative, free market enterprise.
